Central to the practice of Unitarian Universalism is the idea that we can make a difference in the world.  We are called to build a better world.  Many of the groups in our church are dedicated to that ideal.  We address issues on the local and broader stages, educate our church members and friends about issues of concern, and advocate for transformation of the world and, as needed, of ourselves.  Sometimes, that can mean forming new organizations, as we have with Oklahoma City Youth United.  Sometimes, it means joining with other groups, as we have with the Oklahoma Sponsoring Committee.  Many times, it means putting our shoulders to the wheel and making it turn!
