Interweave
Interweave Continental is a membership organization of Unitarian Universalists committed to ending oppression based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Local chapters of Interweave throughout the United States offer support and leadership opportunities for bisexual, gay, lesbian, and transgender (BGLT) people of faith and their straight allies.
The Oklahoma City chapter of Interweave, established at the First Unitarian Church in April of 2006, hosts monthly potluck lunches both at the church and in members' homes, organizes social activities for Interweave participants and members of the congregation as a whole, plans and participates in educational programs from the congregation and for the wider community, and plays a leading role in our congregation's annual celebration of BGLT Pride during the month of June.
For more information about Interweave at First Unitarian Church, including the dates and locations of our upcoming meetings and special events, please contact Interweave facilitator Anne Marie Grassman or our Program Minister,
