Rites of Passage

Child Dedications (see also Worship)

Welcoming a child is an ancient ritual.  Unitarian Universalists do not do baptisms in the traditional sense of cleansing children of original sins.  In our ceremonies the child is officially named and welcomed into the community, and the community pledges its love and support for the child.  Our church offers Child and Baby Dedications at various times throughout the year.

Bridging (see also Worship)

Bridging is a rite of passage recognizing movement into and out of YRUU.  Middle School youth bridge into YRUU and High School youth bridge into Young Adults.
